SURFING & SAILING!

Some students went straight to their surf boards in the morning...

...While others hung out and played frisbee & volley

Surf lessons on the sand before doing the real thing...

They had a beautiful view during the day... (Diamond Head in the background)

Surfers from red team jumping into the water to paddle out to the waves...

Cassie is ready to get out there!

The party catamaran at Turtle Cove...

Guess who we saw there? Sea Turtles!

Some students had fun in the sand during free time on the beach...

Others took a break from the sun & explored the area nearby (Viktoria, Hungary)

ALOHA!

We woke up with the unbelievable realization of being on this paradise island O’ahu, in a place called Waikiki…  We all strolled down to watch the end of the beautiful sunrise at the beach and ate our delicious breakfast. We all gathered on shore like it was a big breakfast party, with all our new friends from all around the world… The world just seems so small now.

With a big smile and the sunshine over us, we finished breakfast and headed down to a nearby beach, where we took our first wonderful swim in the Pacific Ocean! We were in four different color groups. The red team was the first team on the waves and the other teams followed. Surfing was amazing!!! And it was really funny to see each other falling off our surfboards… And great to see people standing up and riding the waves!
In the meantime, some people were out sailing on a big catamaran in the middle of the deep blue sea. We were lucky to be able to do some jumping (with no fear!) into the warm and clear ocean water. We found some new friends down under the surface-- sea turtles!!! We got to swim with them a bit before returning to shore to hang out and play volley, soccer or just hang out… We’re already on Hawaiian time and have forgotten the day or hour.
We spent the whole day on the awesome beach with lots of laughs, lunch, tanning, swimming and enjoying this beautiful life!!!

In the evening we all strolled down Kalakaua Avenue to Hard Rock Café where we ate some yummy burgers and heard some nice music!
After dinner we had some free time with our new friends, so people hung out at the hotel, walked along the beach, and went shopping.
Now the beautiful star are shining above us, and we are all so grateful and having the time of our lives!
So this is the beginning of one awesome week!

Until tomorrow--
